Daycare Requirements
In order for your fur baby to join all the daycare fun, they must meet the following requirements:
Prior to your first visit to Lazy Dog Daycare, please fill out the Pet Profile Application.
- Any dog over 6 months must be neutered/spayed
- All dogs must be on a flea/tick preventative
- All dogs must be up-to-date with Rabies, Bordetella, Influenza (H3N2 & H3N8) and Distemper
- All dogs must be in good health
- All dogs must have a current town license on file and be renewed yearly
- All dogs are required to be dog and people-friendly. Our staff must be able to touch and handle them. For the safety of other dogs and staff, we cannot accept aggressive behavior in dogs.
All first-time Daycare customers, or previous customers we have not seen within a year for daycare, are required to schedule a “First Day”. This would be a Monday-Friday 7-7:30 AM drop off. The early start time is mandatory; this is to ensure a smooth, less stressful introduction to every dog on that scheduled day. We want all first days to be positive and as comfortable as possible for you and your dog!
Disclosure: Any new or previous dog we have not seen in a year that does not arrive at the designated time, or on the discussed day without prior notice, may be rescheduled to return another day.
Please be sure you bring proof of all the required vaccines or we will not be able to allow your dog to participate in the daycare program without them.
Grooming Appointments
Policies & Reminders
If any changes need to be made to your appointment, please notify us no later than 48 hours (2 Full Days) in advance to avoid additional charges.
Arriving late will cut into your appointment time, as well as someone else’s and may result in a late fee or reschedule.
- Groomer reserves the right to reschedule your appointment if arrival is 15 or more minutes late.
- We provide confirmation/reminder calls the afternoon prior to all appointments. If we cannot reach you – a voicemail is left.
- Cancellations at reminder calls count as a cancellation within 24 hours, resulting in a additional charge.
- Pets dropped off more than 15 minutes early, and/or picked up later than 1 hour after completion call are subject to Late Pick Up Fee.
- Appointments times are for when your groomer is available. Leaving your pet outside of the scheduled availability requires daycare, or front desk staff tend to your pet while they are unavailable.

Late Arrival (10+ Minutes): $5
Same Day Cancellation/Reschedule: (Applies to cancellation at confirmation call as well) $20
“No-Show” Appointments: 50% of Groom charge to rebook
First Time Clients: $20
Early Drop Off (More than 30 Minutes): $15
Late Pick Up (More than 1 Hour after completion call): $28 (Half Day Daycare Rate)
Fees and charges Do Not Apply to total of next groom. Charges go directly to the groomer who’s time slot was not filled by attending pet.
- Boarding Policy
Reservation Deposits
- A 50% deposit is required to reserve all holiday boarding stays.
- A one-night deposit is required for non-holiday stays of 3+ nights.
- Reservations are not confirmed until deposit is received.
Deposits are applied to the final balance.
Standard (Non-Holiday) Cancellation Policy
For regular boarding periods over 3 nights:
- 7+ days notice: Full refund of deposit or account credit.
- 3–6 days notice: Deposit converted to account credit (valid 6 months).
Less than 72 hours notice: Deposit is forfeited.
No-Show reservations result in an account flag and 2 night deposit for next stay.
Pick up after 12:00 PM (Noon) will result in a half day daycare fee. $28.00
Holiday & Peak Period Cancellation Policy
(Applies to weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Spring Break, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)
- 14+ days notice: Deposit converted to account credit.
- Less than 14 days notice: Deposit forfeited.
- No-shows: Charged full reserved stay amount.
Holiday deposits are non-refundable but may convert to account credit if canceled within the allowed window.
Minimum stays apply during peak periods.
Early Pick-Up Policy
- Client is responsible for the full reserved stay.
- No refunds or credits for unused nights.
Illness or Emergency Exception
Management may approve a one-time credit (not refund) for:
- Documented veterinary emergency
- Documented family emergency
Credits are issued at management discretion.
This prevents abuse while still sounding compassionate.
Payment Terms
- Full payment due at checkout
- Any balance not paid within 7 days may incur late fees.
